St. Christopher’s has always had a heart for outreach to our community. We have been involved in many local programs throughout the years such as Kairos Prison Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Christian Assistance Network, Hope Pregnancy Center, Honduras Good Works, to name just a few.

We currently assist with both donations of items and time, as well as funds, for several local charities. We have an annual auction as our major fundraiser for those charities. We spotlight each charity for a month during the year, collecting donations at that time, too. St. Christopher’s has a Meal Ministry spearheaded by a vestry member and assisted by several other parishioners. We maintain a stocked freezer full of cooked, ready to eat meals to assist shut-ins, the elderly, someone who is ill, and anyone else in need for any reason.

We have a Vacation Bible School every summer, open to the community. We support and open our doors to the Scouts of America. We are a military community and parish, so we support deployed soldiers with care packages we send out quarterly. We sponsor Bingo at a local nursing home, providing treats and prizes. We support the Food for Families annual food drive and are a drop off station for that drive. In addition, we collect food for our local Food Bank on a regular basis. or many years we have participated in the Angel Tree Gifts program for children of incarcerated parents. Our parishioners love to do this program, often choosing more than one child and giving multiple gifts.
